FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bryant Parks Department Welcomes Arkansas Heart Hospital as Anchor Sponsor

November 8th 2019

Bryant’s newest health care facility may be a year away from completion, but that is not stopping the Arkansas Heart Hospital from generating an immediate impact on the health of local residents by partnering with the Bryant Parks Department in a five year, anchor sponsorship agreement.

“According to a study from the RAND Corporation in 2013, about 14 percent of moderate exercise and 50 percent of vigorous, heart healthy exercise takes place in nearby neighborhood parks” states Bryant Parks Director Chris Treat.

The Bryant Parks Department offers more than 50 classes that promote heart healthy exercise for various age groups.  The Center (at Bishop Park) serves over 3500 members with access to basketball, pickleball, walking, cardio equipment, weights, and swimming.

“Anchor sponsorships, such as the one recently entered into with the Arkansas Heart Hospital, are vital to the growth and stability of these services”  Treat continues, “making AHH the perfect partner for building a healthy community in Bryant.”

“It’s a pleasure to be able to help invest in my hometown.” Ashley Hixon (CCO Encore) “At AHH we know the significance of parks when it comes to health.  We know the importance of Bishop Park to the life of this community and are excited to invest in all the wonderful activities here.”

“AHH Encore is still under construction but we are already seeing the benefits of this wonderful hospital in our community. The AHH heart healthy food truck, Food from the Heart,  was a huge hit at Fall Fest and their support of the Parks Department shows they are serious about a healthy Bryant.” Mayor Allen Scott.

For more information on the sponsorship agreement, or any of the services offered by the Bryant Parks Department, please reach out to the Bryant Parks Director at 501-943-0422.
